MONTREAL – Montreal police call it a major break in Lin Jun’s murder case, which will help bring closure to his family.

Police confirm that a human body part found in a Montreal park is Lin’s missing head.

All of Lin’s body parts have now been found and police say the family of the Chinese national who attended Montreal’s Concordia University has been notified of the latest development.

Lin was killed and his body was dismembered in late May in a gruesome slaying that made international headlines.

His torso was found in a suitcase a few days after his death, while other body parts were mailed to offices of political parties in Ottawa and to two Vancouver schools.

Luka Rocco Magnotta has pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree murder in the killing and will appear in court next year.
