Marine Atlantic says ferry should sail Wednesday after gearbox problems

NORTH SYDNEY, N.S. – Marine Atlantic says it expects to resume its ferry service between North Sydney, N.S., and Argentia, N.L., on Wednesday.

The MV Atlantic Vision was sent for repairs to its gearbox after a problem was discovered last week.

The federal Crown corporation had initially hoped the ferry would be back in service on Tuesday.

It now says the ferry will depart Nova Scotia for eastern Newfoundland on Wednesday evening.
