The Edmonton Oil Kings have been knocked out of the WHL playoffs after getting blown out 10-3 by the Brandon Wheat Kings Tuesday night.

Kale Clague and Nolan Patrick led the way for Brandon, racking up four points each.

The Wheat Kings took control of Game 6 early, taking a 3-1 lead in the first period that Edmonton would never recover from.

The Oil Kings didn’t do themselves any favours late in the game as the team racked up eight minor penalties in the third period and started to play undisciplined hockey.

Brandon will now move on to the second round of the playoffs where they will face the Moose Jaw Warriors. Game 1 will be played on Friday in Brandon.
