Saskatchewan Rush sell out first home game at SaskTel Centre

SASKATOON – It only took eight home games for Saskatoon’s professional sports team to accomplish its first sell-out crowd. The Saskatchewan Rush announced they officially sold every seat in SaskTel Centre for a franchise record on Saturday.

Their 11-9 victory over the Calgary Roughnecks came in front of 14,941 fans. The Rush relocated from Edmonton this past off season.

“We thank the amazing fans that have made this happen,” Rush president Lee Genier said.

“We look forward to many more sellouts and to make this province extremely proud of this team they have adopted and made their own.”

Saskatchewan will head to New England for their next regular season game against the Black Wolves on April 8.

The Rush (10-3) have locked down a home playoff game and also remain in a tie with the Colorado Mammoth for first place in the National Lacrosse League’s West Division.
