WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – A feisty match between the BCHL West Kelowna Warriors and Nanaimo Clippers entertained hockey fans, but locals were disappointed with the hometown teams loss Thursday night.
The Clippers won the game 4-1, including two empty net goals in the third period.
“They were a pretty chippy game. I don’t remember them to be all physical the last two games but they really stepped it up,” said Warrior’s Center Conner Sodergren. “They were a totally different team in the playoffs. It’s playoff hockey we’ve got to be better.”

“We’ll prepare again,” said coach Ryland Ferster. “We have a lot of time off here to prepare.”
Ferster says the Warriors owe their success, so far, to goalie Matthew Greenfield.
“He’s been our best player and we’re here because of him,” said Ferster.
The Warriors are set to host the Chilliwack Chiefs April 6 in BCHL double round robin playoff action.
