KELOWNA—The Kelowna Mountain website is advertising an opening date of May 21 for public tours of the Vinyards & Bridges Agripark, although it needs a business license.
Communications and Intergovernmental Affairs Officer for the RDCO, Bruce Smith, says no business licence has been issued to Kelowna Mountain for 2016.
Smith says there’s still time to get a license.
Without one, the facility cannot legally open to the public.
Kelowna Mountain is the brainchild of developer Mark Consiglio.
Court records show a list of foreclosure suits filed against Kelowna Mountain and associated companies that add up to about $19 million.

The development is also involved in legal action with the Regional District of Central Okanagan, claiming the district blocked development.
It’s the third attempt by Kelowna Mountain to sue the regional district. The previous attempts failed.
Last October, the site appeared deserted and at least one of the four suspension bridges had been badly damaged.

The web site shows hours of operation on weekends and holiday Mondays only until July 1, and daily tours from July 2 to September 10.
