One of the biggest musicians in the world right now, Justin Bieber, has broken millions of hearts with his latest announcement: he’ll be cancelling all meet-and-greets with fans (something the singer has done for years) on his Purpose tour.
Each meet-and-greet costs $2,000, so it’s not small change. Fans who have purchased the opportunity (a.k.a. an “I’ll Show You” VIP package) will not be refunded unless they also forego their ticket to the show; there will be no partial refunds.

The singer announced the cancellations on Instagram.
The caption reads:
“I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people’s spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy… Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression… The pressure of meeting people’s expectations of what I’m supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders.”
Bieber’s management team sang another tune, citing a “security incident” at one of the meet-and-greets.

Needless to say, some people were not pleased.
But in the end, Beliebers supported their man.
