Woman suffers life-threatening injuries, man in Saskatoon police custody

SASKATOON – A woman is in a Saskatoon hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police were called out to the 3500-block of Balfour Street in the College Park neighbourhood just after midnight Wednesday.

Police found an injured 63-year-old woman at the home. She was taken to hospital by MD Ambulance. There is no word on her current condition or how she was injured.

A 29-year-old man has been taken into custody.

The major crime unit, along with the forensic identification unit, has been called in to investigate.

Correction: Saskatoon police originally reported the woman’s age as 50.
