3 children escape smoke filled house in Centennial area, 2 adults taken to hospital

WINNIPEG — Three children escaped a smoke filled house in the city’s Centennial area early Tuesday morning, after a pot of food started burning in the kitchen.

When fire officials arrived at 666 Ross Ave. around 4 a.m, one man and one woman were found unconscious on the second flood.

They were treated for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital in stable condition.

The three children were on the main floor and did not have any injuries.

Crews said there wasn’t a fire, just heavy smoke.
