Boundaries: This riding in southwest Manitoba takes in the easten part of the City of Brandon. It’s bordered by 18th Street to the west, the Assiniboine River and Spruce Woods to the north, and city limits to the south and east.

Last Election: The NDP’s Caldwell won his fourth term, defeating PC candidate Mike Waddell by over 1,100 votes, 54-38 per cent.
History: The original riding of Brandon East existed from 1886 to 1888 after Brandon was divided into two electoral divisions. It was eliminated in 1888 when the city became a single riding again. However, Brandon East came became a riding once again in 1968 when the city was again divided into two electoral districts. Brandon East has been held by the NDP since then.
