Missing 14-year-old girl found to be safe

UPDATE: RCMP announced on March 22 that Destiny Bird has been found and is safe

Mounties are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Saskatchewan girl. Destiny Bird, 14, was last seen at her grandmother’s home on the Ahtahkakoop First Nation at 10 a.m. CT on March 20.

Shellbrook RCMP believe she is on the reserve but her sister in Whitefish said Bird wanted to visit.

Bird is described as aboriginal, just under five-feet, with a slender build, fair complexion and straight hair longer than shoulder length and dyed reddish/brown.

RCMP say she has a very noticeable lisp. Bird was last seen wearing a white bunny hug, black jacket, blue jeans and red/black runners.
