“A student brought bear mace to the school and targeted another student with it,” Fransen said. “Around six staff and students were affected by the spray.”

The school was evacuated in order to air it out, and students are asked to come back this afternoon.

Fransen said he wasn’t aware of any injuries as a result of the spray.

Police are investigating and interviewing the suspect.
