KELOWNA, B.C.; A West Kelowna riding stable owner has located four horses that went missing last week.
Silverado Socrates, owner of Mandy and Me Riding Stables, put out a public plea after the horses failed to return three days after their pen was found open.
Socrates tells CHBC News she received a tip late Monday that the horses were at stables near the Kelowna International Airport, which is about 20 km away from the trail riding stable and across Okanagan Lake. The tipster saw the story about their possible theft on CHBC News Sunday.

Upon visiting the property, Socrates saw the missing horses and called Kelowna RCMP.
Socrates says the people involved in taking her horses told someone they had permission to seize the animals from the SPCA, which she says was not true.
The horses are said to be in good condition and were taken back to their home.
The four horses have been at Mandy and Me for 16 and 18 years and were well liked by riders.
Helen M. L. Hume posted, “Sure hope you get these beautiful animals back.”
Sonja J. Bekker said, “I walk to work after mid night I’ll keep my eyes open for any suspicious trailers on hwy 33.”
More than 200 people joined the facebook page, expressing disbelief and concern for the animals.
Socrates says she is sad that the people allegedly involved in the horse theft are known to her.
