Motorists in Doha couldn’t help but reach for their phones, as a tiger got loose on a busy highway in the Qatari capital.
A driver captured video of a young tiger appearing to fall from the back of a truck onto the roadway.
The event allegedly happened on Tuesday morning, but that could not be confirmed.

The tiger tumbled and rolled as it landed on the pavement, before running head-on into traffic.
Another video captured the wild animal passing stopped traffic on the Doha Expressway.
Video shared to social media showed a man capturing the wild animal using a chain around the tiger’s neck to pull it out from under a truck.
It’s suspected the tiger was being kept illegally as a house pet.
It is against the law to have wild animals as domesticated pets in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, but according to Al Jazeera News, it is not uncommon for people to keep tigers and cheetahs.
Individuals caught housing endangered animals as pets can be sentenced to six months in prison, and face fines up to $3,600 Canadian.
