The B.C. Corrections Branch has issued a notification that a high risk, violent sex offender is moving to Vancouver.

Allaby has a long criminal history which includes assault, assault with a weapon, and sexual interference.

The branch says Allaby has maintained “a versatile pattern of violent sexual offending, having offended against male children and teens.”

He is subject to close monitoring by authorities and is not allowed to attend schools, playgrounds and many other locations where persons under 16 years of age could be present.

Allaby is the latest sex offender to move to Vancouver.

Last week, police issued a notification 56-year-old James Burrows was moving to the city from Ontario.
