Reserved lane proposed for STM’s 51 bus on Queen-Mary

MONTREAL – A city councillor is proposing a designated bus lane to alleviate jams on the 51 bus, the Edouard-Montpetit line.

Peter McQueen, who represents NDG, is calling for the reserved lane to run down Queen-Mary Road between MacDonald and the Snowdon metro station.

McQueen said the bus draws the third-highest number of complaints in the city and is in the top ten for ridership.

About 25,000 people ride the bus each day, often to connect to the metro system on their commute.
