UPDATE: Body of missing man found in northern Saskatchewan
The search continues in northern Saskatchewan for a snowmobiler who’s been missing for 10 weeks. La Ronge RCMP are asking for anyone with information that might assist in locating Billy Taylor to come forward.
The public is asked to be on the lookout for any items or indication of activity while they’re out visiting cabins, traplines or out on Lac La Ronge.
Family last saw the 36-year-old man leaving Fox Point on Dec. 17, 2015. He was heading for La Ronge on a snowmobile but never arrived. Taylor was reported missing the next day.
Multiple air and ground searches have been conducted by RCMP, Civil Air Search and Rescue and volunteers.
Snowmobile tracks on the lake appeared to end at an area of broken ice.

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) has spent significant time and resources on the search including the use of two Remote Operated Underwater Vehicles (ROV). The investigation has, thus far, failed to locate him.
LLRIB has said Taylor is an experienced hunter and trapper and has exceptional outdoor survival skills.
He was last known to be wearing a bright orange vest and was operating a red 440 Polaris snowmobile. Taylor is five-foot seven and 190 lbs.
