2 people charged after dog dies in locked car

TORONTO – Two people have been charged after a dog died after being left in a sweltering car at Vaughan Mills shopping mall, Sunday afternoon.

Shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday, a chocolate Labrador was found barely alive after mall security received a tip from another shopper.

The dog had reportedly been left in the car for two hours.

Emergency crews smashed the car windows and retrieved the dog but the one-year old Labrador had already died.
