Herb Cox of the Sask. Party has won The Battlefords riding with 4,248 votes beating out the NDP’s Rob Feist who got 2,233 votes.

Boundaries: As its name indicates, the riding includes all of Battleford and North Battleford, along with a small amount of rural area to North Battleford’s northeast.
Last Election: Taylor defeated two-term NDP MLA Len Taylor by over 1000 votes, 51-36 per cent.
History: Ridings that have included Battleford and North Battleford have elected Liberal, NDP, Saskatchewan Party and PC candidates over the years, but have generally favoured the NDP. Last election marked just the third time in the last ten elections that they failed to elect a candidate for a riding representing one or both of the cities.
