A 44-year-old Calgary man who was a passenger in the cart was injured and taken to hospital, but he was later released and headed back to Alberta.

RCMP spokesman Gord Molendyk says the cart is being examined for possible mechanical faults and a coroner will investigate any medical issues related to the death.

He says it may be a month or more before the investigation is complete.
