VERNON — On Pink Shirt Day at Vernon Secondary School, students are promoting more than just anti-bullying.
The idea came from two students, Shaughnessy Barker and Courtney Becker.

“Rather than only focusing on stopping the bullies, we focused on making everyone feel loved, and shared positivity,” says Barker. “We called it #positivepostnotes. Kids found unique compliments today written on pink sticky notes.”
Every student had their own special note posted on their locker, totaling nearly 1,000 messages.
