Saskatoon police investigate crash between train, semi on Highway 7

SASKATOON – No injuries were reported after a crash Tuesday between a train and a semi tractor-trailer on a busy highway in Saskatoon. The collision happened just after 3 p.m. CT on Highway 7 near 11th Street West.

Officials with the Saskatoon Fire Department say the westbound train hit the two trailers the semi was pulling.

No hazardous materials were released, according to officials.

Highway 7 was closed between 22nd Street West and 11st Street West for several hours while police investigated and crews cleared the scene.

Canadian Pacific Police Service has taken over the investigation.
