The Vancouver Canucks are on quite the streak.

With the team spiraling out of playoff contention, the team lost to the Calgary Flames 5-2 on Friday night.

It was Vancouver’s fourth straight 5-2 loss – the first time in NHL history a team has had that happen, according to Rogers Sportsnet.

It was also their eighth loss in their past ten games.

After giving up a goal to Joe Colborne on Calgary’s first shot of the game, the Canucks had a successful first period, with Adam Cracknell and Jake Virtanen both scoring their fourth goals of the season to give Vancouver a 2-1 lead.
