SASKATOON – Brock Hamm made 39 saves and Braylon Schmyr scored the eventual winner at 6:23 of the third period as the Saskatoon Blades slipped past the Swift Current Broncos 4-3 in Western Hockey League action on Wednesday. The Blades snapped a three-game losing streak with the win.

Cameron Hebig, Dustin Perillat and Josh Paterson also scored for Saskatoon (20-33-4).

Tyler Adams, Tyler Steenbergen and Glenn Gawdin found the back of the net for the Broncos (20-29-7), who got a 26-save outing from Taz Burman.

Swift Current lost defenceman Kade Jensen 5:41 into the second after he was handed a game misconduct for boarding.

The win keeps the Blades slim post-season hopes alive. They are currently 11 points out of a playoff spot with 15 games remaining in the season.

The two teams meet again Friday in Swift Current.
