RCMP have charged Cst. Alexander MacLean with proceeding before safe after a collision between a police car and a semi on Saturday.
Mounties say MacLean was in a marked police car travelling south near Herbert when he was struck by an eastbound semi on Highway 1.

The police car suffered extensive damage and MacLean was treated for minor injuries.
The semi’s front passenger side was damaged and the driver was not injured.
Herbert is approximately 195 km south of Saskatoon.
