Fire officials were called to a peculiar situation in a Windsor Park school yard in Winnipeg Saturday.
A neighbour told Global News he heard a bang and looked up to see a large piece of metal flying from the roof of the General Vanier School and landing at least 50 feet away.

The piece of metal speared itself into the ground.
Crews were called to the area and remained on scene for a number of hours trying to determine the cause of the incident. Eventually wind was blamed.
There were no injuries.
