A Fredericton police officer has pleaded guilty to assault and threat charges that were laid after two separate incidents.
Sgt. Tim Sowers was charged in January with one count of assault by Kennebecasis Regional Police.
No details have been released about that incident.
A month earlier, Sowers was charged with uttering threats following an incident last June.

Police spokeswoman Alycia Bartlett says police Chief Leanne Fitch won’t comment until the court process is completed.
She says Sowers remains on desk duty.
Sentencing is set for June 6th.
