X-Men actor Hugh Jackman has revealed that he’s had another bout of skin cancer, warning people in a Facebook post to always wear sunscreen.

In the post Jackman says, “An example of what happens when you don’t use sunscreen. Basal cell.”

Jackman, 47, posted a photo of his face with a bandage covering his nose.

The Australian actor has had at least three previous incidences of basal-cell skin cancer, dating back to 2013.

Basal-cell carcinoma is rarely fatal, especially if caught early.

According to the Canadian Cancer Society, BCC is the most common type of skin cancer, making up about 75 per cent of all non-melanoma skin cancers diagnosed. It mostly develops in sun-exposed areas, but it can develop anywhere.

It is rare for BCC to spread to another part of the body, but it is possible to have more than one BCC at a time; having one BCC increases your risk of getting another.
