Celista shooting not a random attack

A Celista man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a triple shooting in the Shuswap Sunday. Global Okanagan

UPDATE:  RCMP say the shooting in Celista that left three men injured on Sunday, February 7 was not random.

“We can confirm that this incident was not a random occurrence and that the individuals involved were known to each other,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

The investigation is continuing.

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – RCMP in the Shuswap region of B.C.’s southern Interior, are searching for clues after three men were wounded in a weekend shooting.

Two of the victims were critically injured in the Sunday night attack in Celista, on the north shore of Shuswap Lake, about 100 kilometres east of Kamloops.

Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says the third man was treated and released from hospital.

Officers have not said if the victims are co-operating with the investigation.

There’s no word on a motive for the shooting or if any suspects have been identified. (CFJC, CHNL)
