Bowmanville man arrested for child luring

A 51-year-old Bowmanville man faces child luring charges after he allegedly attempted to meet a 15-year-old girl for a sexual encounter this week.

Durham Regional Police say the accused made arrangements over the internet to see his victim face-to-face at a coffee shop parking lot in Oshawa on Feb. 2.

Members of the police Internet Child Exploitation Unit attended the scene where the first meeting was to take place and arrested Gordon Randall without incident.

He has been charged with child luring to facilitate sexual interference, child luring to make child pornography and expose genitals to person under 16.
