A gas station clerk in Mims, Fla. fought off a would-be robber by using the suspect’s own gun against him.
Store surveillance footage shows an unidentified suspect enter the Sugar Creek Gas Station on Jan. 26 at around 11:00 p.m.

According to WWLP News, the robber approached the clerk, who is a U.S. military veteran, and demanded money while waving a gun in his hand.
The video shows the clerk obeyed the suspect’s orders until the ex-veteran discovered an opportunity to fight the robber.
A struggle between the two individuals pursued until the gas station clerk was able to retrieve the gun from the suspect.
The robber allegedly fled in “the passenger side of a maroon, older model, large style four door car, similar to a Lincoln Town Car, with a white top and an unknown tag.”
