Crackhead Bob of ‘The Howard Stern Show’ dead at 56

Crackhead Bob (real name George Harvey), one of Howard Stern’s “Wack Packers” on The Howard Stern Show, has died at the age of 56.

Harvey was found dead in his Texas apartment by his father.

Over the last 18 months, three other members of Stern’s Wack Packers have died: Eric the Actor, Johnny Fratto and Riley Martin.

Harvey was a regular on The Stern Show from 1995 – 2001. While Stern and his crew initially believed he had a mild form of cerebral palsy, Harvey admitted that his heavy crack smoking had caused partial paralysis and impaired his speech permanently.

In 2005, he returned to the radio show after undergoing some speech improvement, but by 2007 he decided to step away from The Stern Show for good.

“He was a huge champion of our show,” Stern said Monday, adding that he sends his “deepest condolences” to Harvey’s family and friends.
