Band on stage during Bataclan terrorist attack to play Winnipeg

WINNIPEG — Months after surviving a terrorist attack in a Paris concert hall, the rock band Eagles of Death Metal are taking stage in Winnipeg this spring, as part of their Canadian tour.

The California band was performing at the Bataclan theatre in Paris on Nov. 13, when terrorists stormed in and shot and killed 89 people – including the band’s merchandise manager.

Eagles of Death Metal are playing with Canadian rock duo, Death From Above 1979 as part of the the tour. The band is performing in nine Canadian cities, including Winnipeg.

They are scheduled to take the stage at the Burton Cummings Theatre on May 1.

Tickets go on sale Feb. 6 at 10 a.m.
