WRHA apologizes after second security breach this month

WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is apologizing just days after another security breach.

A home-care worker’s bag with information for 25 patients was stolen from her vehicle in Point Douglas on January 17.

The WRHA apologized earlier this week after another bag with important heath information for 67 patients was taken from a nurse’s car on January 14.

The health authority’s chief operating officer said he doesn’t think the thefts are related.
