A retrial is underway for two men convicted of murdering Calgary businessman Jack Beauchamp.
Mohamed Ali Karim and Robert Deer were sentenced to life, after they were found guilty of killing Beauchamp in his downtown Calgary office in 2006.
The Alberta Court of Appeal ordered a new trial for both men after finding the trial judge made two errors.

The retrial was delayed for several hours Tuesday after sheriffs took away Karim’s muslim prayer sheet.
The judge adjourned the proceedings to give Karim time to pray.
In their original trial, court heard Beauchamp, a mortgage broker and president of Morbank Financial, was killed over a mortage for an inner-city duplex development.
Beauchamp told Deer he still had to pay an $18,000 commitment fee even though the project never got off the ground.
Beauchamp was 49 years old when he was shot six times.
