Vernon crash victim identified

KELOWNA — The B.C. Coroners Service has identified the victim of a motor-vehicle accident in Vernon last week.

The man who died on Wednesday, January 20 was 24-year-old Erik Allen Ryall of Vernon.

Regional Coroner Larry Marzinzik says Ryall was the driver and sole occupant of a half-ton truck that left the roadway and hit an light standard near the intersection of 32 Street and 48 Avenue around 10:30 p.m.

Marzinzik says he was deceased at the scene.

The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate his death.
