LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge police have cleared the first homicide scene of 2016, but still have not made an arrest.
There is no new information into the murder of 78-year-old Irene Carter. Her body was found inside her home in the Normandy Road area last week after a family member went to check on her after not being able to reach her.
An autopsy showed she had been stabbed to death. The forensic team was on scene for several days.
Police say no one is in custody, but believe there is no risk to the public. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 403-328-4444 or contact Crime Stoppers.
