VANCOUVER – A BC Ferries spokeswoman says employees are working around the clock to get a ship back in service for the busy holiday Monday commute.
The Queen of New Westminster travels between Victoria, B.C., and Tsawwassen, B.C., and can carry 270 cars, and 1,325 passengers and crew.

But company spokeswoman Deborah Marshall says the ship was pulled from service Friday because of a rudder problem.
She says an unrelated problem with a salt-water cooling system for the ship’s generators has kept the vessel out of service.
Marshall says workers have spent part of the day taking the ship out on sea trials and will know later when it will return to service.
Marshall says the ferry was scheduled to make eight round trips since Friday.
