Police are continuing their investigation into a fatal stabbing of a 31-year-old man in Hamilton on Sunday.
Authorities were called to a residence at 86 Birge Street around 2:40 p.m. when officers found the victim outside with a serious stab wound.
He was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police believe the stabbing happened inside the residence and the victim somehow made his way outdoors.
The identity of the victim has not been released as not all next-of-kin have been notified.
Police say they are waiting for a search warrant to enter the premises for further clues in the case.
Anyone with information about the crime is being asked to contact Detective Angela Abrams by phone at 905-546-4129 or Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477.
