UPDATE: RCMP say the woman is now in stable condition.
A 46-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a fiery crash on Highway 97.
Emergency crews were called to the Vaseux Lake area north of Oliver just before 1 p.m. A second victim was also been transported to hospital via ambulance in stable condition with minor injuries.
“A Toyota Corolla crossed the center line and collided head-on with an oncoming unloaded logging truck,” said Sgt. Harold Hallett.

Highway 97 was closed in both directions for several hours, but has since reopened in both directions.
The Okanagan Falls Fire Department confirms members were called to the scene but couldn’t provide any further details on the crash or if anyone has been injured.
