MONTREAL – A 56-year-old man is dead after a snowmobiling collision Friday night in Pierreville, 122 km east of Montreal.

The man was snowmobiling on du Petit Bois road when police say he struck a fence post and was most likely ejected from the snowmobile.

He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Quebec provincial police are investigating the incident.
