A large fire broke out just before 4:00 a.m Saturday morning at a lumber mill on McCallum Road near Highway 11 in Abbotsford. Witnesses say the flames shot more than 30 metres into the sky at one point and explosions could be heard from inside the mill.
Firefighters now have the blaze under control. The building appears to have suffered significant damage. An investigation is underway, but there is no word yet on what caused the fire.
