TORONTO – The nominees for the Canadian Screen Awards are set to be announced this morning in Toronto.
The Canadian co-productions “Room” and “Brooklyn” have already racked up multiple Oscar nominations and are expected to place well at the homegrown bash.

The annual gala celebrates the best in Canadian film, television and digital media.
“Room” is a Canada-Ireland co-production based on Emma Donoghue’s celebrated novel while “Brooklyn” is a Canada-U.K.-Ireland co-production largely shot in Montreal.
Comic Norm Macdonald will host the ceremony, where Martin Short is set to receive a lifetime achievement award.
The Canadian Screen Awards will be broadcast on CBC-TV on March 13.
