Coquitlam RCMP are looking for a person of interest in a violent incident that happened last September.
Investigators say a homeowner was attacked following a break-and-enter. The 60-year-old Coquitlam man arrived home just before 4:30 p.m. on Sep. 24 to find that someone had not only broken into his home, but was still inside.
There was an altercation and the victim was subsequently stabbed. As he made his way to a neighbour’s house, the suspect fled.

The victim required immediate surgery and survived the attack, but is facing complications.
Police are now asking for help identifying a person of interest who was seen in the area shortly before the break-and-enter occurred.
The person is described as Caucasian, in his early twenties or possibly late teens, 5’5″ tall, 150 pounds, with a slight build, short cropped dark hair, clean shaven face and a small upturned nose.
Police are interested in speaking with this man and say they believe that he was in the area at the right time and could have valuable information.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Coquitlam RCMP.
