There’s a better chance of being elected as the president of the United States. According to the International Business Times those odds are 1 in 10 million – if you were born in the U.S.

Being crushed and killed by a tipped-over vending machine is also more likely. There’s a 1 in 112 million chance that the stubborn bag of chips will cost you your life.

Even if you’ve never golfed before, you have a better chance at making a hole-in-one. Golf Digest estimates the odds at 1 in 12,500.

And watch out for lightning. The chances of being struck are 1 in 1.19 million the U.S. National Weather Service predicts.

You also have a better chance at having quintuplets than winning the lottery. In the Book of Odds, the chances are listed at 1 in 92,720.
