Barack Obama made a surprise live Facebook appearance Tuesday as he prepared for his final State of the Union address.
In the video, the American president is sitting in the Oval Office with his speech lying in front of him and says he is making last-minute tweaks to it.
Obama then gave a quick off-the-cuff preview of Tuesday evening’s speech.
“This is going to be my last one and as I’ve said before, part of my goal here is to make sure people understand that we are going to leave it all on the field,” Obama said. “There’s a lot of work that still needs to be done.”

Obama is looking to use the speech to make his countrymen aware of what he is hoping to achieve in his final go-round.

“I want to make sure that the American people understand, some of the proposals that I think can make sure that we have opportunity and security in this society and that we’re keeping Americans safe at a time when there is a lot of big changes taking place around the world,” he said.

The American president also urged compatriots to get involved in the process.
“I’m going to talk a little bit about why it is so important for you to be involved and why it is so important that every American is paying attention.”
