Emergency crews rescued two window washers on Monday who were trapped on a hanging platform at a JP Morgan Chase building in downtown Houston, Tx., after a window-washing rig broke.

Television images showed at least two workers trapped on the rig dangling 71 storeys above the ground, according to NBC news.

The two workers were pulled through an open window to safety.

The JPMorgan Chase Tower is Houston’s tallest building, at 75 storeys or just under 320 metres.
