WINNIPEG – Just a day after they announced they had re-signed quarterback Matt Nichols, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have cut ties with last years backup QB Brian Brohm.

Brohm, 30, was one of four players released on Wednesday. The club also cut international running back Da’Rel Scott, and defensive linemen Jamarkus McFarland and Ethan Farmer.

Brohm appeared in nine games in the blue and gold over the past two seasons. He completed just 90 of 154 pass attempts for 907 yards. He didn’t throw any touchdown passes but he had four rushing TD’s while throwing five interceptions.
