A Fairfield, Calif. woman was caught on camera throwing a dog by the collar at her ex-boyfriend during an argument.
The footage, which was filmed by a neighbour, apparently shows Brandi Chin throwing a small pug at her ex-boyfriend.
“Me and her were arguing about some personal things. It got blown up into something else and I think maybe it just got out of hand,” the ex-boyfriend told KCRA News.
“She’s not an animal abuser. She’s never abused animals when I was with her,” he added.
However, the neighbour who shot the video disagreed and said it’s not the first time he’s seen Chin abuse the dog, so he’s glad he caught it on camera this time to prove it.
The video, which has a stamped date of Dec. 19, shows Chin throwing the dog so hard it rolls over several times. The footage also shows the ex-boyfriend picking up the dog and holding it under his arm away from her.

Police were called to the scene when the incident occurred and animal service officers went looking for Chin and the pug. The officers recovered the dog but were unable to find Chin, who is now believed to be hiding in another California city.
Chin may face animal abuse charges and could face jail time if convicted.
The dog was checked by a veterinarian upon discovery and is believed to be doing “fine.”
