KAMLOOPS, B.C. – About 50 people have now been treated for carbon monoxide poisoning following a hockey game at a private arena in B.C.’s Interior.
The incident happened Saturday during a game between members of the Canadian Coast Guard and Department of Fisheries and Oceans in Kamloops.

Darshan Lindsey of Interior Health says individuals continued to arrive at a local hospital until this morning, complaining of symptoms.
She says the hospital has now treated about 50 people, and three patients remained in emergency into the morning.
Joyce Wagenaar of Fortis BC says a boiler was the cause of the problem.
She says the boiler has been shut off, and repairs are the next step.
